Congratulations to Div 6 (1) for winning the Southern Premiership. They also played in a State Final putting up a mighty effort.
They are also to be congratulated on being promoted to Division 5 which we think will allow for another Div 6 team and greater opportunities for all club members!!!!!
Three in a row!!! An amazing result by our Div1 Ladies Team! A challenging Bucks grass green and wind was no impediment for our ladies to play outstanding bowls to create an amazing club record. All players contributed and despite some nervous moments it was another Ladies Div 1 Premiership for Howrah!!!!
Congratulations to Howrah’s Saturday’s division 5 team who won the state final on the weekend, winning both their games (against Burnie and Deloraine).

WHAT A NIGHT!
Well done to all members who supported the Friday night (19 January) Division 6 and Premier League games in the Indoor Centre
It was a great night with excellent bowls and four rink wins for Howrah Premier League ! A first in Premier League for our club.
Thank you to our volunteers for the barbecue and bar staffing. Thank you to Rosie, Lynne and John for the spinning gambling bit, thanks Barny for the meat! Overall we raised a significant amount of money!!!!
We had the Bowls Tasmania President (Bernard Knight) and CEO (Rob McMullen) of and the President of Bowls South (Peter Kirby ) in attendance who ran a stream of Rink 1 (Bill Butler Danny Neal David Prestage and Matthrew Gregg). Thank you John Nicholls for the technical side.

Hobart Community Bowls Centre (HCBC) is the only Indoor Bowls Facility on Hobart’s Eastern Shore and is now in its 9th year of operation.
The HCBC boasts 8 rinks and runs both social and rostered competitions.
You do not have to be a member of the Howrah Bowls Club to play.
There are currently 160 full members of the HBC and 240 social playing members.
We would like to invite new members and social players.
