TUESDAY BAREFOOT

The Autumn Roster will start early May, and the Winter Roster will start in mid-July.

Already it looks like we have 16 teams to compete in the next rosters, but it is always handy to have players who can be called on as a late fill-in to help out.

TWILIGHT BOWLS

Twilight Bowls is a competition designed for people who are unable to play during the day due to work and/or family commitments.

Twilight Bowls is for players of any age group, from 8 to 80. Office workers; sales persons; students; teachers; police; friends; family; and people from every walk of life take part in this competition.

Twilight Bowls can be a great introduction to the game of bowls, with some Twilighters going on to play Pennant bowls for Howrah. Equally many participants solely play Twilight Bowls, some have been with us since the competitions inception in 2007.

The Howrah Twilight Bowls competition is played across both our greens with 30 teams taking part each week. Teams are organised into groups, matching teams & players of similar ability together so that games are fun and competitive for all.

The Club runs two rosters over the Spring, between October to December and Summer months, January to March and you are welcome to enter either or both of these.

Games are held on Wednesday evenings, between 6pm and 8pm.

There is a new Spring Twilight Roster on Tuesday nights . For details contact Milton Lowe (Milo) on 0418 123 829 or milton.lowe@bigpond.com  Entries can be submitted here –          Membership Application

So gather your friends and/or family together and form a team. You get to choose a name for your team, eg “Red Roosters” or “Pamelas Prawns”, etc. Teams are to be made up of a minimum of 4 people, but you may choose to have a larger team and roster your players week by week, you then have a spare person(s) when a team member is unavailable

The Club has bowls available in various sizes and you can use them at no cost. Coaches and Club members will be on hand to help you and explain the rules of the game.

On Wednesday, a BBQ operates from 5.30pm to satisfy your hunger pains, and the bar is open until 9.00pm to satisfy your thirst.

The cost per player is only $10.00 each evening; this covers the BBQ, insurance, prizes and the use of the Howrah Community Centre bar and other facilities. For non-playing team members and supporters who wish to have something to eat from the BBQ, there will be a $2.00 charge. Great value!

Come and join the Fun!
