SEASON 2025/6
PRE-SEASON TRIALS: commencing Thursday 7th August we will have players from Howrah, Rosny, Beltana and Cremorne playing 21 end practice matches against each other on a rotational basis This will include Premier and B Grade. : Times 6 pm start: come and have a look!
PRE-SEASON BIG BOARD BASH: Commences Friday 29th August. Teams must include Premier, B Grade and a gender balance. The last training for the Big Board Bash will be Friday 22nd August, 6pm to 7.30pm
TEAMS FOR OCTOBER START: Please indicate your intentions, by adding your names to the appropriate Saturday, Wednesday and/or Thursday lists, on the notice board near the office in the Indoor Bowls Centre.
If you are only available as a fill-in, or emergency player, please indicate that when you add your name.
Pennant training will commence on Saturday 30th August 12.30pm for 1pm start. Please tick your name on the sheet which will be on the board outside the office if you are coming to the training. Robert Johnston Chair of Selectors
BPL
Congratulations to our Howrah Team for winning the first qualifying BPL tournament at Buckingham Bowls Club on Sunday 25 May. Well done Matthew Gregg , Danny Neal and Peter Jenkins.
TAS State Final – Sunday 28 September – Venue HOWRAH
The BPL cup was established to bring the format of the successful Bowls Premier League event directly to Clubs in the form of a nationwide pathway competition for club players. The competition progresses through Preliminary Rounds, Regional Finals and State Finals culminating with National Finals held during the Bowls Premier League at Club Pine Rivers in QLD in November . Winning team from each state will receive prize money, airfares, accommodation (where appropriate) and free Jack Attack license for their club
New South Wales’ Ettalong has created history by becoming the first team in BPL Cup history to successfully defend the title as Nathan Malloy, Lee Trethowan and Darren Morrison kept a hold on the coveted trophy.

Bowls Tasmania has been advised that if you are involved with schools at your clubs, anyone involved must have completed the Department of Education, Children and Young People’s (DECYP) “External Providers Safeguarding Training
If you are a DECYP employee, volunteer or external service provider for the department, you must complete this training

UNIFORM ORDERS
Uniform orders must be placed for the purchase of new uniforms by 31st August, to allow time for them to be made and returned prior to the commence of the pennant season. Order form on the notice board in the indoor centre
