BPL Cup season launched for 2026

The world’s biggest club-based bowls competition has officially launched for 2026, with bowls clubs across Australia set to host another year of the fast-paced BPL Cup.

Teams of three or four players, which can be made up of all male, female or mixed combinations, compete against each other to progress through Preliminary Rounds at local clubs, Regional Finals, and State and Territory Finals to win a trip to the BPL Cup National Final played in conjunction with BPL24 from November 9 – 13.

With more than 3,400 participants, 1,042 teams and 129 host clubs in 2025, the 2026 BPL Cup season is again expected to see an increase of entries, with hundreds of clubs in every corner of the country set to host local BPL Cup events for bowlers of all ages and abilities to experience.

This year’s season features several new inclusions to the competition, including:

Hosting a BPL Cup event gives clubs the opportunity to attract new members, generate excitement by showcasing bowls in its most dynamic format and provide their players with a pathway to the spotlight.

Expressions of interest for host clubs are now open, with team registrations open for numerous events with more to come!
